This course is designed to cover all areas of bird taxidermy. It is a detailed course and very comprehensive program structured to insure that the student has a clear understanding of all the critical elements of bird taxidermy in the following areas:

A. Bird anatomy and motion
B. Drawing and feather patterns
C. Evaluation of specimens
D. Field care, freezing and handling of specimens
E Skinning and fleshing
F. Cleaning, degreasing
G. Washing and skin prep for mounting
H. Creating the artificial body (hand wrapped)
I. Mounting the bird
J. Carding and drying
K. Painting and air brush techniques
L. Bird finishing
M. Habitat construction techniques
N. Water and ice
O. Problem solving, defective birds, skin and feather repair
P. Supply sources
Q. Business management and customer relations
This is a very complete course all aspects of bird taxidermy. Every effort is make to insure that the proper instruction is presented to insure the students success. Bird taxidermy takes dedication, attitude and persistence on the part of the student and the instructor. Success does not come overnight or with just 6 birds, nor is it automatic. It takes consistent hard work, a great deal of patience, the ability to deal with failure and frustration to master the skills necessary to succeed. Every effort is made to help the student succeed and adapt teaching instruction to the particular student to insure success.
